ecu questions

Ok guys..long story short.. I bought a 99 with a 97 fed motor... Obviously the 99 is cali and the pin out is slightly different... Rather than repin it i was considering swapping the engine harness out with a 97 fed harness.. It would eliminate wiring just straying around the bay... Anyhow..someone told me due to my nats system if i swap the engine harness and ecu with a 97 it will NOT work and that my car would need the dash harness relaced as well... I know Aackshun is the master at this wiring crap... Anyone else know how much truth there is to this?? Is it safe to say i can buy the 97 fed harness and swap it out and run a 97 ecu with no problems??

I believe the 97 ECU will eliminate the NATS.

Some of the pin connections in the 99 ECU were different from the 95-98 ECU. The Cali-Fed stuff wasn't the reason.

I have a list of the ECU pins for all the 4th gen years with the differences highlighted. It is a PDF file and I don't know how to post it here. If you want it, I'll e-mail it to you if you pm me with your e-mail address.
