Leaky, clutch master / slave or lines, bad master or slave.
Is there any fluid in the reserve?

check the lines... most likely the joint connection on the top of the transmission is busted... very common problem with the spaghetti mess of lines on the hydraulic systems of the maximas...

If it is a hydraulic line that is broken, replace it with a direct flexible stainless steel braided line between the master and slave and eliminate all of that intermediate plumbing. I got one on-line for about $40 from racetechperformance.com. Make sure you order the correct one - they have one that just replaces the lower flexible portion, and one that replaces both the flexible and hardline sections. Good luck.

I had the same issue last week, it was my clutch line. My friend replaced it with his stainless steel line and put in a new slave ($29 ) just because we were already in there.
