Car heat smells like burnt glue, wet engine

When I turn on the heat I smell glue. I lift the hood up and the engine area looks wet(Where those 6 pipe looking things are in the middle of the picture). What's going on? I attached a picture so you guys can see what I'm talking about. Hope you guys can help!

Im thinking you obviously have a large coolant leak....maybe a busted hose and you are smelling coolant.

Those tubes are your intake manifold. If you touch the "wet" spots, does it seem like oil? And after you touch the stuff, what do your fingers smell like?

2kMaxim may be right about a coolant leak. When the engine is cold, remove the radiator cap. The radiator should be full all the way to the top, no air space.

I'll have to try touching it tomorrow and check the radiator cap. But the coolant reservoir isn't empty though.

Ended up bringing it to the shop. Blown valve cover gasket causing oil to leak out and something about the pcv and something getting into the exhaust causing the smell. Not sure how all that works together. 300 to 400 to fix.. Car is starting to cost me more than what it's worth. =[
