A couple of months ago, I purchased 2 anchor brackets to secure my kid's car seat top strap on either side of the vehicle. I bought them from an online Nissan parts wholesaler. Part number was: Plate – Tether Anchor: 88894-89900. They worked but unfortunately had no cover and looked very "non-original equipment".

So yesterday, I noticed my 2000 Chrysler Concorde had OEM anchors in place with the plastic concealing covers. Had made a run up to my local savage yard (You-pull-it) for another part for my Chrysler and decided to pick up two of the anchors as well.

Besides changing the spacer for a couple of thick washers, a perfect fit and OEM look on my Max.

So if anyone needs to install a child seat in the rears on our generation Maxima, look in your local salvage yard as the LH 2nd generation cars from Chrysler are a direct fit. Assembly includes a 10mm bolt head, plastic cover, anchor, and spacer. These cars include any 1999-2004 Chrysler Concorde, LHS, 300M, or Dodge Intrepid. Not hard to find in my neck of the woods. Pics below.

 

Not sure if you're aware, but you could have gotten the hardware and covers from a 2000-2001 Maxima, plug n play and look a little nicer. Good job though

Can you please show how this looks from inside the trunk.
I'm planning on installing those and would like to make that I'm using the right holes for that.
