Cracked Idle Speed Adjusting Screw
Cracked Idle Speed Adjusting Screw
Hi Everyone,
I am new in this forum,
While I was adjusting my Max Idle Speed Screw, it cracked,
I was able to adjust it more with pliers but it made it crack more.
Now i do not have a way to hold on to it either with a screw drives or pliers.
Any suggestions?
Toby

Sounds like junkyard time.
I assume the screw should come all the way out.
If it does, replace it with a junkyard part/if not, just pull the whole IACV and..junkyard.
WTB in the classifieds works too.
If it is broken to where you can't seem to unscrew it..put some superglue on the very top and glue a small piece of scrap on it so you have something to grip.
Do you have any pics?
Post them through photobucket.

Please see the pic attached.
Is the screw made of plastic?
I have been trying to look for a picture of just the idle adjusting screw
in the forum but with no luck.
I wanted to see how it looks like...
Is it possible to hot air the top of the screw so it will not crack when i glue something to it?
Thanks so much for the replies.
