2000-2003 I30/I35 Front on 4th Generation Maxima

Hey guys. I've searched all over the org for hours and couldn't find anything about the 2000-2003 I30/I35 front on our cars. I found some information on the 5th generation front on the 4th, and the I30's that are the match to ours, but that was it.

Is it possible to do this? I've seen the 5th front on the 4th, and I don't really like it. But the Infiniti's front isn't as round as the Nissan's, so I think it would look better.

The reason I'm asking is because I want projector headlights, and it would be cheaper for me to buy the Infiniti's front minus headlights and get after market projectors than it would be for me to retrofit the 1 piece R34 headlights, seeing as they magically rose a few hundred dollars in price. -_- Don't get me wrong, the R34 lights would look a little better IMO, but the front swap gives me a chance to be unique.

This is mainly just talk for now since I have other things on my car to worry about than my crappy headlights, but any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

It's possible.. Cheaper than doing r34's? It's custom work so that's doubtful IMO

I can do the fabrication/paint myself. But I've never done a retrofit. The cheapest i could find the R34's was $200. Then i would need another $300 or so to do the projectors. I could get everything I need for the swap for around $300. But would you think it would look right? I like the front of the 4th gens, but that's a lot of money for just headlights.

Neither. The swap would be easier and cheaper to replace though.

I just don't understand why people ask (what if I change to this front end or that)...Appreciate the lines and curves in the car you have the way it looks now. blow your money on something else. I'm sure the car could use some love in other places...slap a front spoiler on it get new OEM style headlights and be done with it. I honestly think it's more work then it's worth.

If anything i say I would do the retro. try to find some used r34's. Or contact someone who can retro or has a set already retro'd.. But it's your call. I guaruntee retro will give better results than a new front end light-wise

edit: And if you're looking to be unique, you should just do it how you want.. our opinions are just ..opinions.. of people you don't know. Example: I cut holes in my bumper for fog lights. Madea lip from a honda fit my car. My friend used vinyl as eyelids on his 5.5. creativity is key.

Alright. Thanks guys. I like the R34 lights more, but they're expensive. If they didn't need to be retro modded to be decent it would have won hands down. But I'm about to go off to college and I'm doing a small engine and tranny overhaul and brakes all around in a month or so and that will cost a good bit. But I can hardly see at night, and that's using Sylvania Silverstars. Was just trying to find some options that i would be able to do. Thanks for all of your inputs.
