Can't Find ID Tag

I feel ****ing retarded. I seriously can't find the identification plate. I'm assuming someone took it off (po was a re-tard-ed).

Anyways, I need new caxle shafts. Is there anyway to determine if I have an LSD without the id plate? Is there any other location of the plate?

Also, Nissan wont accept my vin.

I think my car is a fake. D:

Didn't you say you looked through the trans and see a pin going across in the hole?

Its a very slim chance you have vlsd.
Plate on the firewall is gone?
Pull the axle and compare it to a non locking axle that a parts store has in stock.

But, I wanted to do the control arm bushings, ball joints, calfshafts, and undercoat spray all at the same time.

:/

I read somewhere about some tab on the tranny that says its a lsd or not. I think.

U.S. 4th gens did not come with LSD, as far as I know. However some Canadian models did.

What do you mean nissan won't accept your vin?

Car was stolen probably and resold. No reason for id plates to be missing.

I find it humorous when guys white or black out their vin or license plate numbers. It's clear as day when your out on the road or parked.

It just keeps telling me that the vin is not valid. I typed it in exactly how it is. Even went out to the car to verify the vin. idk what nissan is talking about. But, I am going to call them.

I found......the spot where its supposed to be. Rivets are still there, looks exactly like your pic. But, alas no plate. Previous owner must have taken it off. ****ing idiot.

Assuming the engine is original, there is a other vin plate riveted to the block. It's at the back of the engine. Just down and to the left about an inch of the exhaust port for cylinder number 5.
