Questions about a VENOM 400 Performance Control Modules V30-130

Hi i have a 1996 Maxima and i was wondering if this http://www.summitracing.com/parts/vnm-v30-130/overview/make/nissan/model/maxima/year/1996

is worth the money since it says it can improve the horespower by 25% from 1000 to 5000 rpms. Is it worth the money and what other things will i need to and install for it. My car has a short ram intake. Thanks!
P.s Andy's Auto sport has this same product on sale for $20 less but i shouldnt buy it from them right?

Search VENOM 400 on here and see what happens.

Can't believe they're still selling this. IIRC one member had one on here.

There are far better and more efficient ways to spend 400$ for performance, this is not one of them.

All it does is alter the MAF voltage based on throttle position. Buy an AFC and a WB O2 of your choice. Tune it yourself.

I have one. Gave me 50 hp on the dyno.

I do actually have one of these stupid things though. It was already installed on a Maxima I recently purchased. My first de-mod is going to rip this sucker off and smash it like the guys in Office Space and their printer. LOL Right now the switch is off.

A bit extreme, but I'll take your suggestion into consideration.
