Wiper issues...need help!

Been havin a problem with my wipers lately. a few weeks ago I turned on my wipers and it made 3 sweeps and then just stopped. The motor was still going so I figured its the rods inside the cowl...so I went in and put the rods back together...Worked fine for a while then popped back out a few days later...fixed it again and now today same story. Is there some way to prevent the rod from come apart or will I have to change the rods altogether? I need my wipers in this spring rain

Never had mine apart but here's my guess...do they have bolts going thru them with nuts that keep backing off? If so, try some lock nuts on there and that should stop them from backing off. Shy of seeing the assembly, I can't be much more help.

They're likely just worn out from use. You can buy new pivots and linkages individually from Nissan, but it'll likely be cheaper and easier to just get an entire new transmission from a junkyard.

Similar thing happened to me. I just went and purchased a new linkage from Rock - Auto and had it installed. The only problem with a junk yard is that you would be getting a linkage that's just as old as the one your replacing (give or take a year or two).
