Drop lifted my car

I bought some knockoffs springs, installed them today and they raised the car from where it was previously, it was suppose to give me a 2 inch drop looks like a 2 inch raise I noticed the rear are in correctly having the tighter coils at the top, but on the front somehow the tighter coils are the bottom, I was thinking about switching the front around but I wanted to know would it even make a difference in ride height whether they were upside down or not?

I don't think having the tighter coils up top or bottom matters, as the entire spring is being compressed nonetheless. I may be wrong though.

i bought my lowering springs off ebay about 4 years. ago. lowered my car all around. i swapped struts and i cut the rear spings about 1/2 inch to level it out. (they came front 2 1/2 and 2 in back. so.) i put them on some ebay struts. knock off kyb and the ride is about 34435636 times better then all my friends with coil overs

So happy i didn't buy these. I almost pulled the trigger on them too.

They used to have purple springs on ebay which actually dropped the car a solid 2 inches all around. Don't know where they went along with the r34's.

Interesting, got any pics? I'll be in the market soon & From what I've read coilovers are the way to go, what specifically makes their ride worse?

If the spring rate is like super high it won't lower as much as other springs with the weight of the car.

If the spring rate is way higher than stock springs, yeah. Also, if the springs themselves are higher, then yes. It's possible.

Ebay, noname parts... you get what you pay for

I can see you get what you pay for applying to the spring broke in 3 months, but they should have at least lived up to their description lol

I'm thinking his buddy bought the Option Racing springs that aren't labeled as such on eBay, and he bought the new cheap ones that are on there that are slightly cheaper than the Option Racing.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1995-1999-NI...997ea5&vxp=mtr

I think these are the ones your friend bought. They also have red coated springs as well.

I couldn't find them the past few times I looked, but they added them again recently. Those are the "original" eBay springs, which are actually supposed to be pretty good. If you can't get some sort of refund on the springs you have, I would see if they settle any, and if they don't atleast you know the others are there now. And if they take them off eBay again, the site you can buy them direct from is Optionkingdom.com I think.

Recently lifted my Pathfinder. Springs used were shorter when unloaded than the stockers.

No pics yet?

BRO these are the ones. best EBAY springs for our car. Notice how I said ebay. These are about 10 bucks more expensive this time around.

But these will drop you a good 2.25 in the front and 2 in the rear. Your ride however is going to be doodoo

Yup, anytime you go lower than 1.5", the ride is doodoo, unless you've got quality coilovers.
