TB and Manafold Questions (cleaning)

hey guys i took out my TB and cleaned it ..... dang it was soooooooo dirty it was some brown and some black crap all along the side of the manafold i checked it out with my flash light and i see that it looks dirty all the way in there i want to take out the manafold and dip it in something like engine degresser or something wut u guys think ? but i took a look the Tb and i open the flap i see some brown **** back wut those this mean ? should i clean it again or something well anywayz hit me up with a post

Not shure if its a problem but thats how mine look too- all brown and rusty colored.

ic... but wut should i use to clean the manafoild cuz i'm going to take it off and clean it but i sure u could dip it in something right ?

just use the same stuff you used to clean your TB.

Guys, don't worry too much about the crap that's inside the manifold itself. The buildup you get in there will not affect engine performance, and it adheres to the walls well enough that it's not going to come off in chunks and hurt the engine. Now as for the throttle body, there's enough flow inside that relatively small area for buildup to cause some slight performance degradation, especially at low throttle. Just clean the throttle body every 30K miles or so when you go to do all your other 30K interval mainteance tasks.

You could clean the entire manifold but I'm just saying there's really no point in doing so, as you won't get any improvement.
