I just figured out that my Infiniti I30 97 have rusty filler neck. 2 holes totaling 4” square. Is it true that exist recall for this problem and should I just drive to dealer and demand replacement for free?
If no recall I would need some directions for replacement. Or I will just buy a 1 1/2 ID rubber hose and cut out 1’ rusted part of filler neck and replace with rubber hose.

You can't use just any hose, it must be fuel safe. I spliced mine 2 years ago, was a pretty easy job.

 

Went to U-pull. Filler neck plus two rubber hoses that go to tank 5$. Not heavy to replace. One hour job. So junkjard is way to go. Called Infiniti USA and they said call me back. Have no time to wait.
