ok I meant what does setting the bound and rebound, low, is that stiffing it up or what?

setting that I think stiffens up the rebound of the suspension when you hit a bump.

yes you can change how stiff each shock or strut is. thus making the bound and rebound change

what exactly is bound and rebound, the movement of the struts themselfs like how far up and down they move?

there is no best. it's all driver's preference. i had mine set on 2 in the front and 4 in the back originally but after a few weeks of driving, that setup was too stiff.

i now run 2 in the front and 2 in the rear. kyb agx shocks come with 4 settings for the front shocks and 8 settings in the rear. 1 in the front and rear would be the softest setting equating a comfortable ride. 4 in the front and 8 in the rear would induce a bone-jarring, tooth-chipping ride that would shake your bladder and colon loose of all contents.

hope this helps.

Dampers, aka, Shocks, aka Struts - Explained.

http://www.findarticles.com/cf_dls/m...l?term=damping

VERY comprehensive. Hope it helps though. . .

The terms you're looking for are "rebound" and "compression" dampening.

These terms refer to how the shock/strut controls the forces created when the spring compresses (as when you hit a bump) and when it rebounds (when the compressed spring's energy causes it to "push-back" & return to it's original length)

It's not called "bound" and rebound. The term is compression and rebound.
