3.5 swap or turbo vq300dek

I just drove a 6th gen after just completing the dek swap, and now I'm pissed! Coulda spent a few hundred extra and not much more fustration, and got the 3.5. Everything is new on the max and now is just gonna b a project. Have other cars and bike to drive but love this max.so what should I do. No to money which is smarter, at this point. Opinions appreciated.

K so it looks like i will do a turbo. Just thought that 3.5 was a beast in torque.

Now where to find a used turbo kit

a 3.0 turbo will out-torque a 3.5 at like 2psi of boost dude.

if you don't know anything about turboing a car then be careful. that's why i prefaced my post with "if you know what you're doing and have the money". if you don't know what you're doing you're likely to end up with just another blown 3.0.

. . . INDEED

You must know what you're doing otherwise you'll be screwed (pun intended)

(On a serious note, I would go with the turbo VQ30 as well. That thing can be a beast if done properly, way better than the 3.5. I've got a boy with turbo VQ30DE (99 MAX SE-L Aztec Red w/ 00VI and basically full bolt-ons) and me and him were driving the other night and this Porche Carerra 996 (about an 02 model me thinks) started playing with us, long story short dude in the Porche took a real nice whoring and finished his night off with a **** look on his face, he was speechless like he couldn't believe it was possible)

Ya,I had a performance shop in va. Turbos are my thing. But since then moved to Jersey and now work at a dealer and don't have much time fabing up my own system. Have a son now who takes a lot of time. Don't know much about these nissans other than did a turbo kit on a customers g35 few years back. Got 420 out of it, had more but needed few things to provide more horse. I knew turbo 3.0 is faster than the 3.5, but don't have much money to poor in the max.question wasn't what is faster was at this point what should I do. have other spoils to tinker with. Trying find a used kit listeners don't have to spend much money or time

If you don't have the money then no use to do anything because it will all take money. You can piece it together over time then drop money when you get it on the install/fab but as with anything you have to pay to play. The thing about boost is you could do a mild turbo setup but you will always want more so do it right the first time.
