Strut mounts/cushions (frt)- which to get?

Swapping my suspension: (85k mi).

Apex springs
KYB AGX

Planning to autocross the car, so, considering a performance mount, but want the ride to remain "streetable."

Which replacement front Strut mounts/cushions would you recommend?

OEM?
KYB?
KONI?
Others?

(?)

Thanks all in advance - input appreciated.

What made you decide on Apex? Just curious as I don't know much about that spring. I've heard iffy stories about the KYB mounts...OEM's seem to be the way to go. Funny that they make great shocks but questionable mounts. As far the OEM's standing up to autocross, I dunno.

Welllll. . .it's a long story that has been hotly debated on the forum here. It was between the Apex & the B&G; I'll just leave it at that.

I don't want to get anyone's feathers ruffled here. . .again.

Hopefully I'll be happy with the choice - if not, at least I'll have one suspension swap under my belt. How hard can it be the second time around?

Apex lowering springs:
1.6" drop
Firmer ride than the B&G's, H&R's; but not as firm as Eibach
Part # (110-4010) -set-
front- 110-40101
rear- 110-40102

Yeah, I did a search after that last post of mine. Some interesting comments. Just don't lower it too much...you'll end up bottoming out every time you cross Chapala & De La Vina streets.

Good luck, and post your results/opinions on your setup when you are done.
