Clutch Slave Cylinder
Clutch Slave Cylinder
My wife went to go to work this morning and the clutch pedal was on the floor. I suspect the slave cylinder. I haven't looked but can anyone tell me is it external to the bell housing and "reasonably" accessible to change or does it require removing the tranny or something extraordinary? I used to do a lot of work on my cars but don't much anymore, but last time I did a slave cylinder it wasn't that bad (but that was probably 20+ years ago!)
It's quicker to look than it is to post.
It's external and VERY accessible.
Check for leaks inside the cabin for the master; just in case.
Make sure to check the clutch line if it is the rubber type:

Slave cylinder is relatively easy to do; maybe a 4 on a 1-10 scale. Remove the air box back to the throttle body opening to give yourself space to work.
Also, this is a great time to get rid of the ridiculous clutch rubber/metal lines and replace with a single stainess covered flexible line from the master to the slave. The existing rubber lines are starting to leak/fail due to age. Vendor is racetechperformance.com; make sure you get the longer line that will go all the way from the slave to the master (Product code was 310-0154-42 when I bought 18 months ago). Good luck.
