You can maybe have the gas tank cap tested or replaced.

unforunately, im not that lucky!

That would be great if it was the gas cap, but i doubt if i will be that lucky but, now that you mention it i dont hear any pressure at all release form the cap when i open it....should i definately hear pressure release when unscrewing it? i know with some cars you do some ya dont...I searched and read plenty of posts about the code.. it can be many things, i was just hoping i would get replys and see what has been the majority of the reasons people on the .org have gotten this code and go form there....thanks for the reply!!!

You should hear something if cap is opened, that would help indicate it is working properly but since there is a code it could be any of the components, I just said gas cap since it would be the first thing I would replace then go from there. In states that have emissions, checking the seal of the gas cap is part of the test.

Make the KS your LAST repair, as a bogus KS code almost always gets generated in the presence of a legitimate emissions code. Ebay $5 knock sensors work very good BTW.

+1 for the KS.

As for the EVAP small leak, I have found that code is usually related to the Vent Control Valve located behind the driver side rear wheel, on the charcoal box. The valve may be sticking, which is common. Here is a video on how to try to fix this

If the vent control valve is OK, look at the two or three small units on the bracket just forward of the cannister box. Especially look at the small vacuum hoses that join them. I had one of the nipples crack, but the small hose held it up so you couldn't easily notice the break. Ended up replacing the entire bracket plus all the small units as a single assembly from a JY. Solved the problem and has been good for several years now. Good luck.

you guys are a big help!

Thanks for the input, now i got some idea where to start.....come the 1st of the month im gonna be doing a complete tune up along with a KS, and possibly an oxy sensor (0413)..but would that code be on because of the (0705)? i hate to buy the oxy sensor and find out its only on cuz of the (0705)?...and along with the tune up i just found my driver side cv boot is toast so i have some work to do....im concerned about that because ive changed axels on civics but never a 4th gen! im hoping its not any different? and of course i may as well change the pass side to...aaaarrgghh!
over the years i never did the proper maintainance on my vehicles but since i know how good the car was kept i wanna keep that going, i wanna see if these cars are as good as people say...I do have faith in them!!!
thanks for all the help!!
if there is any insight you can give me on the axels...that would be appreciated also!!

autozone axles have lifetime warranty. Do your KS LAST. I repeat...LAST. your O2 and evap codes shoudl not be related (no cause and effect with them)

Also, I've had the 0705 for years now. No drivability issues. Unless you are in a state where the do emissions test for inspection, the 0705 is really not an issue...just have to deal with the check engine light.

Depending on the State, the KS May not fail emissions.

The ks will case poor economy and lower power. Its only a $5 fix from eBay. However, until the other two codes are fixed op won't know if the KS really is bad.

The bulb may be out. Does it even come on when you put the ignition to the ON position?

The EVAP will NOT have any effect on the KS, but the O2 sensor WILL...I'd replace the O2 Sensor 1st, then check the codes again and see if the KS is still there...if not, you don't need to worry about the KS. The EVAP should be the last thing on your list...unless you need it for inspection.

^^^THIS...I'd bet the bulb is blown. It is a standard #194/168 bulb. Easy to pull the cluster out too...here's a video in case you don't know.

And, In case you need it down the road, 2 more for the KS replacement.

Bulb lights when starting, and it blinks when i check the codes, so id have to say its not the bulb?
I appreciate all the replys and vids...im gonna be ordering the parts soon....i havent decided from who im gonna get what from...except maybe the axel from AZ....they may not be the best axels but at least they are guaranteed..and maybe the o2 sensor from 02sensors.com unless you guys have a better place for o2's...Im only getting like 20 miles a gallon...average...soo im thinking after the tune up itll get better..i know the people i got the car from did everyhing by the book maintainance wise...so at 104k i figure its ready for the 60k maintainance!i hear a bad o2 sensor may clog the cat after a while...dont wanna have to buy a cat anythime soon!

Check rockauto.com for all your parts. Don't know if they have lifetime warranty on the axles though. But the O2 is probably cheapest there.

I paid 30 for each front sensor and 45 for the rear one...all had OEM style connectors on them but don't remember the brand

+1 on the EVAP Canister Control Valve. A smoke test is really the only sure way to know.
