Illuminated Automatic Shifter Bulb?
Illuminated Automatic Shifter Bulb?
Ok so the other day I decided to do a little beautification on my long neglected interior. I got a pretty good Parking Brake dust cover from the junkyard to replace my frayed and ripped one.
In order to get to it properly you need to remove the Console box. I needed to clean off like 10 years of gunk on this as well. So I followed the simple procedure in the BT section of the FSM http://boredmder.com/FSMs/Nissan/Maxima/1996/BT.pdf (PAGE 12/13).
No problems, no hitches. Although I drove my car at night for the first time since the repair yesterday and noticed my Shifter is not lighting up letting me see what position I am in even with all the rest of the interior lights on. I don't remember messing with anything under the plate. Did I disconnect something? I didn't see any other electrical connector other than the Cig Lighter port that needed to be removed for the install.
Or am I just thinking that it had a light under and it actually doesn't? can anyone point me to the right section of the FSM for this? I can open it up and look but I'd like to know what to look for electrical wise.
