Newbie questions on '99 Maxima SE Ltd.
Greetings:
I am considering purchasing a 1999 Nissan Maxima SE LTD. It has AT, ABS, Bose, Leather, and power Moonroof. It has 27,000 miles on it and it is listed for $17,700. My questions are:
1. How reliable is this model?
2. Is this model fun to drive?
3. What is a reasonable price for this type of vehicle?
I am interested in any information you care to give me. I would like to be informed from those who know about your likes and dislike regarding this vehicle.
Thank you in advance,

2) All Maximas are fun to drive, especially after some modifications.
3) That price sounds reasonable, might be a tad high.
Suggestion: GET A 5-SPEED. YOU'LL REGRET GETTING THE AUTO, TRUST ME!! Look around for one, no matter how much you don't want to right now because you find a good Maxima thats an auto.

Well id say thats a bit high price. The car is alot more fun if you get it stick. Trust me alot of people regret getting an auto. It's a considerable amount slower. If you don't care I think you'd very happy with the car.

You say a new 2002 GXE can be had for around $18,000. However, when I check the invoice pricing at kbb.com and Edmonnds.com they both say the invoice is over $22,000. How can that be? Or, better yet, how did all of you come up with the $18,000 figure? Most certainly I'd rather have a new GXE with the 3.5 motor than the '99 SE with the 3.0 motor.
