Where to find parts for 4th gen

Where to find parts for 4th gen

New to maxima.org but ive got a nice stock 98 maxima 5speed. Looking to start with an intake system but the only thing i can find if he injen cai. I want some more options like a short ram but im kind of a noob and cant find "kits" anywhere, and most of the items talked by in posts are 5 or more years old. Any help would be appreciated!!!

Injen is garbage. Just buy a short ram or something off eBay.

well i cant find anywhere to buy a short ram kit or a cai kit that i can put in the fender to get true cold air.Are there any websites that still sell these kind of things?

Short ram intake on your car is best, then y-pipe, then 2000-2001 variable intake manifold, vafc2.

Ebay or buy the parts you like (mid pipe, MAF adapter, velocity stack, couplers, filter) and put your own together. That's what I did.

I have never actually seen a dyno shoot out on the after market intakes for the 4th gen maxima. That being said; it seems the general consensus around here is the stock intake works quite well and all you get from most after market intakes is added noise and no real HP gain.

You just bought a 15 year old car and are concerned that the threads you find discussing this very vehicle are 5 or more years old. Perhaps a re-alignment of expectations should be considered.
