Clutch Job Question

Hey guys! Haven't been on here in quite awhile.
Decided to finally do the tranny swap on my 97 maxima.

Here's what I've done so far.
Old tranny is out.
Subframe is dropped.
Es Bushings are installed in the motor mounts
New friction plate on fidanza flywheel.
New stage 2 endurance southbend clutch has arrived
Ready to put her back together with the new LSD, the new axles, mounts, and new clutch.

This is only the second time I have dropped a tranny on a maxima, and it might be a silly question but what is the correct orientation of the Throw out bearing?
I know which is top of it, but there are tabs the the underside that can go facing toward the inside of the fork, or flip it around and the tabs would be facing the outside on the fork. Kinda like a 6 oclock or 12 oclock question. Seems to kinda work either way but would like to get it right. Thanks!

I cant comment on the tob orientation, but be sure to sand the engine and bellhousing surfaces or you may get a hard start condition.

I didn't pay any attention to that. I just made sure it slid on easy, lubbed it up and put it back together. I guess go with your gut instinct? Lol.

Yea, I'll just take my best guess.
I also replaced my rear main seal due to a small oil leak.
It was a pain getting that half moon seal in there.
Not really sure its seated in there all the way.
Thought I would put the tranny in and let it run in neutral for a bit before putting the axles and fluid in.
That way if it does leak with the new seal then I wont have to drain and pull the axles again......
Wish there was a way to check it without putting the tranny back in.

Thanks for the warning on the sanding of the housing,
I had a hell of a time troubleshooting a start issue awhile back.
Grounded the starter and it helped a bit, was having to crank 10 times before a slow backfiring to life start. Turned out to be a slow/half working autozone starter. Sometimes it wouldn't kick out all the way and grind my flywheel :/
Crappy remanufacted parts. Get a new one if you get one from them.
