sporadic problem with driver window.

Hello,

Occasionally,.the driver window has trouble going down. I raise it up an inch then it lowers fine. I did have to take a chunk of styrofoam out of the door when I first bought it because that window didn't go more than halfway down. The styrofoam was broken.

The power window regulator is probably on its way out.

I've had plenty O' problems with my windows recently and for the junk yard price of around 40 bucks its worth grabbin the motor/regulator together.

I've had bad luck with the window regulators on my 95, I've had to replace both rears. I wouldn't buy them from the junkyard which are cheap but since you don't know how old they are you don't how long they'll last before they break. I recommend ordering the parts from Rockauto, I've gotten a lot of parts for my max from them for lots cheaper than the auto parts stores. I've accumulated a little bit of info on what junkyard parts vs new/reman parts seem to be good if you're interested.

Thank you, I've had pretty good luck with Amazon. Saved $30 on the camshaft positioning sensor that way versus the chain parts stores. Shipping on that was free because I got my code reader at the same time for.$43.

Are the window and regulator one piece? They are on some cars so I wondered.

No, glass and regulator are separate pieces. If you've ever pulled the door panels apart before replacement is easy.
