Do you need evap solenoid while doing de-k swap?
I'm trying to run de-k with 96 ecu.
I researched the forum and found out that EVAP solenoid need to be connected?
I know that EGR could be removed but if not for CEL, would removing evap system effect the performance of the engine?

I'm building a bradley with maxima engine and trying to register as a spcial built vehicle which will be exempted from smog in CA.
Anyway, isn't MAP sensor needed only to detect the EGR presence because it has MAF sensor already?
Could this sensor be removed if not for smog?
Is the EVAP part of the fuel recirculation system?

I think I saw the FSM and it had a diagram showing it was part of it but it will not affect any performance at all because I had a check engine light for that motor and it did not make any difference in performance. I even unplugged it no difference at all. So u should be good with out it. After I swapped the motor with an iacv motor no more code but no difference that I noticed.
