Help changing Cylinder #1 Fuel Injector

Dear Fellow Maxima forums members,

PROBLEM: CANT FIND HOW TO REPLACE FUEL INJECTOR UNDER INTAKE MANIFOLD

SUMMARY:
For a while I've been trying to figure out how I can change my fuel injector for cylinder #1 , which has caused misfiring on cylinder #1 On my 99 infiniti i30 (VQ30DE), Which is UNDER the intake manifold. I've searched everywhere but there are no guides for replacing the three injectors under the intake manifold #1.....Help?

Thanks!

If it's under the intake manifold, it sounds like you need to remove the manifold first. Am I missing something?

If you search for rear valve cover gasket replacement, I think you'll find help on removing the intake manifold.

You will have to remove both upper and lower intake manifolds. I don't have a link but find a link to the FSM it's very detailed instructions. I pulled mine with time and a basic craftsman tool kit. Good luck.

The lower manifold does not need to come off, just the upper.

Thats how you take off the intake manifold. You don't need to take it off completely. Just enough to get the bolts off the fuel rail. Good luck. You're going to need 8, 10 and 12mm sockets.
