Which is it...P1606 or P1605?

It must be P1605 - there is no P1606.

P1605 is "Signal from TCM (Transmission Control Module) is not received by ECM".

Possible causes are:
* Harness or connectors (The communication line circuit between ECM and TCM is open or shorted.)
* TCM (Transmission Control Module)
* Dead (Weak) battery

Check the wire continuity between TCM pin 45 and ECU pin 6. This is a red wire.

P1605 OBII - Check Engine Light

I have the P1605 code and cannot pass my Smog Test.
I have already put it another TCM (re-conditioned part) but the check engine light still appears.
Does anyone know what I can do or did you solve your own problem.

its been a while

I have not posted in a while on this topic. But the problem was the fuse was missing from the AT spot in the fuse panel.
