High Beam indicator on dash flashing

High Beam indicator on dash flashing

I am not there to see it, but my wife calls me from work and tells me her high beam blue light was flashing on and off. She does not say if the alarm is on or not. She did not hear it when I asked. What should I look out for. I pretty much assume it is the factory alarm, but not being there and her not coming home for hours does not help. (This is the same woman who told me she needed a jump when she could not get the alarm to disengage, when all she had to do was toggle the door switch (remotes don't work).

The alarm system will flash the high beams if it is triggered. The blue dash light is connected to the driver's side high beam for its power, so evidently the alarm was going off.

But besides flashing the high beams, the alarm also blows the horn. So...
