anyone else have the body trim around wheels??
i have noticed that most maximas don't have wheel trim on the outside quarters and fenders. the black plastic that goes over the outside edge of the wheels on the body. i'd like to see pictures of anyone else's max that have it as i think it was an add on by the dealer or previous owner. like this

When I bought my car it came with that wheel well trim, door edge trim, and pinstripes. I no longer have any of it, hated it and took it off. It's definitely dealer installed BS that helps em bring up the total price by a few hundred bucks.
Here's an older pic with the wheel well (and front door) trim on there, kinda hard to see in this pic but it's there:
I think it looks like ****, especially on light colors where you can really see it, on darker colors at least it blends in more. If you want to remove it just use fishing line to get it off and then goo gone or similar to remove the glue. This pic was the beginning of my removal process, back door trim was first to go.
I have a few better pics of the before/after if interested. It looks 100x better without that stuff IMO.

nope, the stuff they sell is hollow and goes on the door and trunk ledges. mine in solid and is glued to the wheel well edges. i'll show you once i have it re-done with new molding. my original molding is dried out and hard as a rock.

i have them on mine they do make it cooler and less "plain" around the wheels especially on a white pearl since the wheel trim is black so it blends in good.
my car is still work on progress(only had it for one year did make improvement and added stuff slowly, so this is just the way how it looks for now, going to add one of my biggest goals to the car that im dieing to wait for when i graduate in June
(goin to the body shop to repair the drivers rear quarter panel since its the only dent on the car which is located at the very bottom where the bumper meets and the small "trim" line, once fixed it will look new again, bought it with the dent and had someone from a body shop pull it out a bit, it still looks okay.. its just at times it can look like crap and sometimes u cant even notice it, not a big or major dent but it is an ugly dent i would say its a size of a volleyball or smaller about and its creased... so yea lol) it looks a bit better overall.

So you're going to replace it in kind? Why? Aesthetically, I think it adds nothing. Protection wise, I guess it might save you from a very light door tap. If you want it for protection, just park in the boonies where no one will park next to you in the first place and it won't be needed.
