Just painted my calipers bright blue!

This is a lot of fun and the max looks great! I even painted the lug nuts blue, I've never heard of that being done before, but, oh well, will look with the 18X8.5 Giovanna Geneva rims with german pilot tires, I should be getting in the mail today!

As soon as it warms up a little I'm painting my calipers red. Looks great on black Maximas. How much of a pain in the a** is it to mask everything?

Hey, congrats on the caliper painting. It does wonders on a car. My car is black and I painted the calipers blue. I used the Foliatec stuff - not the VHT spray paint. It is a super nice, glossy finish that is easy to clean. It's too bad that they are somewhat hidden with my ugly factory winter rims.
On a dark green Max why not paint the calipers silver. The silver will look clean and classy.
Painting the calipers is easy. If you're gonna use the spray paint, just remove the tires and mask off the bleeder valve and the rotor surface. Also watch your overspray - don't get it on your car and you may want to mask off the inside of the wheel well if it's windy out. I think this has been discussed before so if you do a search you'll probably come up w/ more. Good luck.

It's the clamp looking thing that is, err..."clamped" over your rotor. It houses the brake pad, shim, etc...

Hey. My 96 SE is the same red your Maxi is. Have you painted your calipers? If so, what color? I bought black and painted them that color just to cover over the nasty factory look. But I'm still looking for a good color for our color car.

My White Maxima has Tokico Blue Shocks so I painted the Calipers Blue to match the Tokico Shocks.

im taking it off and filling the holes ... heheh , i might switch the spoiler from my next one (hopefully an SE) to the red one, so if there is any sort of funny looking-ness from removing the touring wing it will be covered. Good plan ?

I'm going to paint mine the next time I change pads and take them off completely for spraying. Is that a bad idea?

Just did mine over break too, I sanded and painted over the rusty part of the rotors too. I got the Primax 10 spokes on my pearl white 96er, looks hott. Cant wait to add my nozzles and Lite Glo kit.

Pretty soon Im goin with a custom grey with blue center seats as well as well as blue dash kit, gauge bezel, Ebrake boot, and autoshifter, diamond plate floor mats :P

Just painted my calipers dark blue!

mmm.
I did a ghetto caliper job today. Lack of time and lots of mosquitoes...
Dark blue (orange might have been better and ricey) calipers and rotor. Sprayed into a spring water bottle, cut it in half, and brushed it on.
And whoops, I didn't even clean the calipers. Just painted on top of gunks. Still nice and cool.
