Clutch master slave - brand

So i wake up to my battery dead and my clutch to the ground! At first i was like oh snap i left some lights on but then i found the clutch straight on the ground..

I looked for oil under car but nothing.. I looked in the car near the pedals and nothing..

Maybe i have a small leak thats been leaking for a while.. Nonetheless my goto mobile mechanic is mia.. the nearby shops quoted me $400-450 to swap out clutch slave and master. They recommended i have both done at the same time along with any hoses. aghh..

That said .. i looked on the groupbuy for the stainless steel and looks like automax is out of business for the full 1 piece stainless steel lines..

I need to get running asap anyway so i was hoping to just go to auto zone and pull the parts. What brand you guys suggest for slave and master.

With my luck i bet the top and lower hoses dont come with em...?

I would find the leak first. Most likely it is lower rubber hose that connects to slave cylinder, which if I recall is about 50-60 bucks. I would doubt that your master cylinder is bad. If you don't see any evidence of fluid leak on the outside of the transmission case, it could be the slave cylinder leaking, which is 30-40 bucks. Bleeding is a challenge...

Rip out the entire clutch line system and toss in a 1 piece SS braided line.

If you scroll down the first page theres actually another dude in the same exact boat as you. This seems to be an extremely common problem.

very well could be the master cyl. The leak will be inside the car where the master cyl. comes through the firewall. Feel the area for any wet spots (under the dash). If none Check where the hose mounts to the slave and see if it's greasy looking in that area. Use a flash light to see. You can also pull the little boot back on the slave to see if it's wet. Good luck.
