ABS light on 99 Maxima

My abs light stayed on after I drove home on slippery roads last night. I also noticed a burning smell when I pulled into my garage. Does any one have any suggestions as to what caused this situation and what I need to do?

Check your abs fuses to see if there good. Check the ones next to the battery and check the one labeled abs Sol and take it out to see if it rattles. If it does that means its bad and its broke. U can also switch that fuse with ignition switch fuse to see if it works and then just turn ur key to see if anything happens if nothing happens its bad. But check ur fuses first before anything else.

Do you remember loosing any traction on the slippery roads? If you did, that will trigger the ABS light for sure. Simply driving it for 5 to 10 miles will automatically correct things and make the ABS light go off.
