Nistune for 95-96 Maxima's

Hope this isn't a repost but Nistune is available for our ECU's now. I have been using one for 3-4 years now on my 300zx and love it.

Nistune Type 5 and Type 4 OBD-II boards
23rd of September, 2013

Type 4 OBD-II board field testing has been completed. We will support 1995-1996 A32 Maxima,1996 KA24DE and 1996 Z32 300ZX ECUs

http://www.nistune.com/equipment-products-type4.php

Matt is a great guy to work with and the software and tuning ability is fantastic.

There is a thread for this.
http://forums.maxima.org/supercharge...4-nistune.html

I don't think it has been posted in the 4th gen section though..so maybe this will show more people than the other thread.

You need a 95-96 ECU.

Yup ECU's changed configuration boards between 95-96,97-98 and then 99 so I am sure they would need to make another daughterboard for the second gen of ecu's and then another for the odd 99's if my ECU knowledge still is right for maximas. Only chance of that really happening is either a lot of people want it or it is very similar to some more popular cars to modify to offset the cost.

Cost is about $600ish, I want to go NISTUNE soon. Just need to work out a few kinks and wait til it warms up.

Considering how an EU is about that price 600$ isnt bad at all.

Anyone have a link that has more info on nistune? In a nutshell its like having a piggyback built into the ecu correct? My main concerns are tuning for a full 00vi swap and raising the rev limiter.

As of right now the EU has more features. Nistune has no launch control, MAP support, and cannot control auxiliary items like the EU so you will need an rpm switch on top of that. Raising the limiter on nisune is just a matter of entering in what you want the new rev limiter set ar.
