99 gle manual transmission advice please

So I currently drive a 97 gxe auto (140k) and am looking into getting a 99 gle manual with 90k on it. I am just wondering if the manual version is more reliable, less reliable? Anything like that I'm very interested in getting it so I would just like to hear a lot of input or what I should look out for please and thank you!

99 have issues with the NATS immobilier system, and the manuals have issues with the input shaft bearing going bad...

and GLE doesn't come as a manual. GLE was only offered as an automatic.

I was just about to post that.

with only 90k miles, that car is barely broken in, lots of life left in it. Just make sure it isn't a rust bucket.

Probably a higher optioned SE then, and someone along the line put a GLE badge on the car. Look at the cars plate under the hood and it will tell you.

He didn't send pictures of the gages. I'll ask soon but anyway is there anything I should be watching out for? Like is it worth it to switch to a manual, Mechanical wise or should I just stay with my auto it runs pretty smoothly

Regular faces. That car has been messed with. Black tweeter grilles and black door switches was never with the beige interior. We're going to have to have the numbers off that plate to tell you what it really is, because someone has changed a lot of stuff on it. Get a picture of the plate or the numbers and letters off the plate, and there are key letters to tell if its a GXE, SE, or GLE.

Vin plate, not license plate.

Agreed, something seems off...and now I question the mileage.
