maxima studdering

HTML Code:
so I have a 96 maxima and it sputters when accelerated. it had a check engine light on and the codes said misfire #6 and knock sensor and o2 sensor. I replaced the knock sensor moved the coils around and changed plugs and no change. check engine light hasn't come back on either. I did find oil in the spark plug tubes in the back(valve cover gasket). but would that make it studder?

idk why it didn't show my whole post but I did pull codes and it said knock sensor was bad, o2 sensor and #6 misfire. I replaced knock senor and moved #6 coil over one to see if the misfire moved. still runs like **** and check engine light has not come back on. I replaced spark plugs but the back spark plug tubes had about 4 inches of oil in them. I know I know, I'm gonna replace the valve cover and plug gaskets. but will that make it studder when accelerating?

Fix oil leak. Drop in new plugs. See if problem persists. Could still be bad coilpack(s).

The oil getting in around that area will in time detotate the boots on the coils and then can start to missfire and spark leak.

You moved the bad coil but did not replace it. That's nice lol.

Replace your spark plug TUBE seals too. Install new spark plugs. NGK copper are like $2-3 a piece vs. the double platinum. Only difference is how long you go between replacing them. $2-3 vs. $8-$15 a plug, I've bought both before. When I first got my '99se I bought the oem double laser platinum. Then when I got educated I started buying the coppers. Cheers.
