where does this hose go?

Can any one tell me where the hose in the picture go? Sorry about the orientation, picture was oriented correctly before it was uploaded.

This hose is located by the air filter cover. Car was in shop a month ago and I just notice this.

Thanks.

It doesn't go anywhere. It's a vent ... to the transmission I believe.

Yep that's the transmission's pressure vent hose. Its normal to be hanging there. It fooled me one time after I changed the starter and I was like " where the f##k does that go.

You know, I'm all for helping the next guy, but really? If I had a nickel for every time this was asked, I could be Bill Gates. OP has been registered on here since '05, he should know what that hose is, or, better yet, know to search first.

Thanks Turbobink and 6cyl.

Climaxx...the world would be a better place if you spent your time helping people instead of giving them crap.

For the record...I did search but couldn't bring up pictures on my phone. I don't know why you think I should know what that hose is. I am not an expert on cars so I go here for help. And I only go here once in awhile.

If you had just typed the title of your thread into the search engine on this site you would have found many threads with pictures. There was even a sticky for quite awhile of the same name.
