just started hearing a clicking noise inside the iacv after cleaning it. had to replace the rear valve cover gasket so cleaned everything in the process. cleaned it with throttle body cleaner. it goes click click...click click. two clicks every couple seconds. almost sounds like a 'gallop' as far as how fast/often. any ideas?

 

ok so researched this a lil bit and its normal. just never heard it before since it was gummed up. I can adjust the idle by unplugging the tps and adjusting the black plastic screw on the iacv to raise/lower idle which may make the ticking noise go away. I believe I read the idle should be 1k rpms in park and 800 in gear. correct me if I'm wrong on anything guys. any info is appreciated. oh btw it's a 96 gxe auto

 

Just did mine, should be 650-700 in park, that's all you need to do, don't adjust it in drive, just park

 

Wrong the idle should be 700 rpm at idle and 600-650 in drive.
