Brand new stripped gr2 shock how can I fix?

So I have my drivers side brand new gr2 shock that was installed but the mechanic used an air gun to out the bolt back on the strut but he stripped the the part of the strut that bolt screws on to ... The actual bolt isn't stripped but the part of the strut that it attaches to is stripped ... Is there a way to fix this or do I have to buy another brand new strut...

There are washers to balance out but my drivers side drop is higher then the passenger side and my car won't stop pulling to the left when I let go of the wheel ... Everything in my front suspension is brand new..
Can I get that part of the strut remachined so the bolt can firmly screw on it or should I basically have to buy a new strut? It sucks cuz the strut only has 1000 miles on it????

The mechanic should pay for it.
The washers have no effect on the drop, the strut itself doesn't set ride height, only the spring does that.

Cut new threads on the strut for a nut that is a step smaller using a tap and die set. Get the monkey that ruined it in the first place to do it for you. If he can even get that right.

I'm kind of confused as to what was stripped.
