First of all welcome to the site.
If your getting that code with a 95 you must have a Cali spec emissions car. The valve you need to replace is the one on top the intake manifold. Is this the one you have been changing?

The EVAP code has nothing to do with the engine shutting off.

To find out if you have a California Emissions or Federal emissions car, go to
http://www.nissanpartszone.com/

On the left side of the screen, about 2 or 3 inches down, there is a box that says "Enter The VIN of Your Vehicle". Type in you car's VIN and click on the search button.

It will give you a string of characters that are decoded as follows:

Code:
            199612 CAL.S VQ30DE GXE AT LS5 G

The code your getting doesn't exist on a 95 Fed spec emissions car. Are you sure the car is a 95? Does the VIN # on the title match the VIN # on the car?
Post up some pics of your car and the engine bay. Also there's a tag when you open the drivers door. Whats the manufacture date?
