If you can get the chance, can someone take a picture of their throttle body set screw that you're not supposed to adjust/touch.

Would like to compare how far mine is as I'm not sure if its been pulled back a bit to close the throttle plate more.

There should be a paint mark on the screw and TB to indicate its original position.

I know that you posted this in the 4th gen section but I snapped pics of 2 different TB's for you.
The first picture is a 4th gen TB



The next 2 are from a PFTB




I count 6 full threads on the 4th gen, and 5 full threads on the Pathy. Hope this helps.

The first picture shows the cold idle plunger, not the TB default set screw.

To set that screw and the TB plate correctly do the following:

Warm up engine thoroughly, drive it for at least 10 minutes.
Turn off engine and disconnect the TPS.
Start the engine, all accessories off, with the TPS disconnected the IAVC will not function.
Set the idle speed to 550 using the throttle body set screw.
Turn off engine, reconnect TPS and restart engine.
If necessary, adjust IACV to obtain correct idle speed.

Only problem is my engine revs to 1300-1500 with Brown connect on TPS unplugged. And my TB plate appears fully closed. I think my IACV is stuck in open position, and replacing it doesnt help. My ECU might be busted, although it doesnt throw codes and it passed CA-Smog.

I need to find someone with a Nissan consult in cali.

Plug the IACV air tube and see if the idle goes down. That would at least isolate TB or IACV problem.

There's really nothing to see as far as setting the TB default position. It's got to be on the car, running to set it up. But with all the other issues you claim to have, why bother? You've got to get the issues sorted out so it runs correctly before you try to set the TB.
Your ECU can't be busted, it wouldn't run.
Make sure the IACV is working.
When you unplug the TPS and restart, turn the set screw on the TB to close the plate, that should lower the RPM's. You need 550.

If thats the case, then my IACV is stuck open. And so are the other 2 new ones i've ordered/tested. Oh well, it passed smog, so no biggie.
