I'm just wowed from how this even happens. I got a new engine about 3 weeks ago, so I'm just stumped that it still does the same thing. Anyways cutting to the chase.

Here is a picture of a slight S shaped ramp. It's not as stretched out as it seems on the map. I go to school 2 days a week. I take this ramp right off the express way, a half hour away from where I live. So EVERY TIME I get off the ramp and merge (right of picture) is wear my Max slightly burns oil. White smoke mainly! Before I got the new block, it used to be far worse. It was literally a cloud and sometimes had a mix of blue in it.
When it happens, I tend to let off the gas because it hesitates a bit, then some smoke blows out. The week I got my car back and went to school. I called the shop guy, and explained this situation to him. He tells me it's the left over smoke from the old engine still in the exhaust. Okay, makes sense, right? Maybe I was going crazy. But 2 days later heading out to school, it does it again. I knew something was up. There's no other path I could really take. Even if I go slow on this ramp it's very close to doing it.
Today's my last class so I won't have to worry about this issue. But, it ONLY happens when I get off this very ramp. Every time. I can't explain this strange case. My only thought for this cause is the design of the engine. Maybe the oil somehow slips into a cylinder?

Where did the new (cough) used (was it even replaced?) engine come from?
I find it just to much of a coincidence that both your old and newer motor do exactly the same thing at exactly the same location.
I smell a rat...
Haha well, today it did the same thing, but this time I went slower. Still does it slightly. I came home from class. Half hour drive, cruising at 60. When I get to my exit it starts to lay down some thin smoke for 5-10 seconds. Which was what has happened in the past with the old engine as well. The engine is remanufactured. Clean internals. It really stumps me. That's the ONLY time it happens is in that spot. Whenever I go on a ramp that is a constant left or right, it doesn't do it.
Did you read through The Wizard's thread about white smoke and injectors with broken pintle caps in the link below?
Did your shop move the injectors and rails from the old engine to the replacement?
My replacement engine with ~72,000 miles inherited some fairly serious fuel delivery problems from the old engine because the components either stayed in the car or were moved from the old engine.

Any injection/manifolds are the same. Just swapped over. Only the block has been touched. New spark plugs, oil, filter, antifreeze as well were included though. I have no idling issues, nor performance issues. Drives fine, sits quiet. When I got my car back a few weeks ago, 2 days later it started having this weird sound to it as it was running. So I was wiggling one of the wires that lead to the first coil pack and it stopped. Huh, well it works now. Lol! Maybe I should check all of them.
No it doesn't. Even when I did have the issue being pretty serious, it never had any antifreeze leaks or issues. No leaks or drops from anywhere. There was a time when I started it up the next morning after class, and some smoke came out. Just a slight poof of it, it did smell a little like oil but nothing too serious. My car rides absolutely fine, no issues. (So far, knock on wood.)

I once had a rear suitcase muffler fill up with water (condensation) from a bunch of short start/stop runs. I thought I had a bad head gasket in the beginning. I bought a head gasket testing kit and spent a week looking for a coolant leak to no avail.
About the same time I decided to get the suitcase muffler deleted and replaced with straight pipes. I could hear the muffler shop owner yelling "hell it was full of water". It looked like 2 quarts of water spilled on the show floor as he cut off the old muffler. After I replaced the suitcase muffler with straight pipes, the exhaust steam from condensation build up issue went away.

Well I still haven't reached 500 miles yet. I will have to change the oil then. So I am still in process of breaking it in. I still baby this though. I don't even go over 60. Eventually I am getting a whole new exhaust, from headers to the tip.
Good deal. Maybe you can take it on a nice long road trip out to the Hamptons, Poconos, or Jersey Shore over the Memorial Day weekend to give it a good burn in.
