Having trouble with P/S

Hello all,

I recently rebuilt my p/s pump with an oem kit from LA Nissan. It seems to never run out of air bubbles during the bleeding process as I've sat there turning for hours on end. The pump also whines when I'm running the engine to check for leaks. No leaks btw. Any help is appreciated.

Bubbles? Whining? Rebuilt?

Sounds like you may need to check your work.
I've never heard of a rebuild kit for the PS pump, but I've also never looked into it.

That's just a part I would buy new if needed.

Now, alternators or starters seems simple enough, but anything with the word pump..no thanks.

Unfortunately I had the same experience with the kit on a Q45 pump that looks like the same pump as the Maxima. Mine had a leak problem also. After a couple of days I said "forget it" and picked up a rebuilt pump from Advance Auto (in store pickup) using a HUGE50 coupon code. Four years later it is still quiet and works fine.
