DO NOT FLUSH!

Just drain and refill.

Do a SEARCH for what type of gear oil ppl recommend. Jiffylube has a synthetic gear oil that is good.

Our 5-speed transmissions will dump all the oil when you drain it. No flushing is needed.

IMPORTANT!!!!! Use only a GL-4 rated oil. NOT GL-5. Not even if the parts store guy says that GL-5 is better than GL-4. Your transmission will suffer if you use GL-5.

You can wash it out with something cheap gl-4 wise; try supertech at walmart. Drain, fill, drive, drain, and fill with good stuff. I just put in amsoil gl-4 in mine when I bought it and it was 1.6qts low; never trust previous ownership if in doubt especially if you don't have proof it was done. General rule, when you buy a car, change everything!

130,000 miles on a used trans? I would haven opened it up, inspected for any wear, replaced all the seals, cleaned it out and reassembled.

This would be a perfect opportunuity to get a lsd trans or put a lsd in your existing trans.

Since I've started autocrossing my 95se, I've wondered how do I go about getting LSD added to my transmission? They were available in Canada?

Where would I get it now, or would everything be used or reconditioned? I'm changing out my transoil real soon now. -pc

Infiniti I30t has VLSD and I believe it is exclusively Canadian for manual, but I know auto I30t's have VLSD, so it's possible that some may be in the USA; but a somewhat rare transmission.

If you really want a project do a 6 speed swap with HLSD. Write ups are around here somewhere.
