96 transmission leak

I have a 96 maxima 5 speed. I recently dropped new motor in and motor is fine but I am leaking transmission fluid when I begin to fill it back up. It is leaking from the shift rod that enters into the bottom rear of the trans (has rubber boot on it) by the drain plug. Any suggestions? HELP

It's possibly the striking rod seal. I have the same problem. I didn't replace mine yet but the seal is cheap.

The yoke may be a b!itch to get off. Here's a thread that might help.
