I have not seen this in about 4 years

ended up having someone take care of the EGR and knock sensor, and a pesky bank 1 sensor 2 o2 cropped up this year before emissions.

There would always be a P0400 and P0325....always.

I was on the fence about removing the intake manifold and decided to let someone else do it...didn't want her stuck in the garage and potentially be unable to pass emissions....

Everything is ready in I/M and I've driven a bunch of miles since the repair. Actually, I don't think I've ever seen the reader ever display no codes, not ever!!

haha what I like best is the valve cover gaskets were replaced...no more grime that had built up over the last 4 yrs., and just blue rtv showing instead!

(got a pesky rear muffler prob though, lifetime warranty at Midas. It only lasted 3 yrs., where as the original Nissan lasted over 12)

Blue RTV?
You sure it isn't felpro?
They make blue gaskets; I have them.

Congratulations on the successful maintenance!!

Those are easy tasks. Next time you should tackle them yourself. Congrats on passing emissions and getting your car running smooth!

Congrats. I kind of know the feeling. I haven't had any codes per se, but I've had this dreaded flashing airbag light forever it seems. My daily driver is a 98 Max with the rare side airbag option. The good ol' door trick worked for the first few years and would last months at a time until about 1 year ago. I finally cleared that darn light last week by simply cleaning the airbag connection under the seat thoroughly and spraying it with that electrical cleaner spray by CRC. Now I'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner. It's only been a week, but so far so good. No light!! I sure hope it doesn't come back!

that light is ridiculously annoying, glad that fixed it, I ended up replacing mine with an updated part nissan had listed in a TSB, wish I would have tried that first!

so, just spraying and cleaning turned off the light? i probably need to do the same thing for my master door switch, frickin annoying to hear it click 2 or 3 times every time i hit the remote.

I've been dealing with that for 8 years!!! What I do is unplug, wiggle, then plug back in, plus the door thing 6X fast....usually the light is off for MONTHS!! What a design flaw.....

I used to clear the codes, wait until all the I/M stuff is ready, and stop driving. Then on Sat. Get the car inspected right away....no more feeling of being on the lam.....legit now! Getting a new muffler tomorrow lifetime warranty but junk nonetheless.....

i just went thru what you did these past few months. i had a bad knock sensor so i did the resistor bypass trick years ago due to my car having cali emissions and me not thinking it was worth 1-2 hours of work just for a ks. i had a tps code, replaced and adjusted it. then i had a bad maf sensor. (5 min replacement as we all know) then, p0400. so when i got the p0400 i did my front and rear valve cover gaskets, took the resistor out and replaced my knock sensor, and cleaned the egr tube and the intake manifold out as well as everything that came off to access it (cleaned tb, iacv, replaced the coolant hoses that connect to the rear of the intake manifold because i figured they were 14 years old and i did NOT want to take everything off again to prevent dry rotted hoses cracking from me removing them...5/16" fyi) and i passed inspection.

not only did i pass inspection, but i was/am able to get 455 miles from full to empty. before the servicing, i was barely getting 300 miles on a tank. damn good! and i avg now 24 miles/gal per tank

i am suffering from the air bag light. im about to remove the damn led from behind the cluster.

congrats on your success of no codes!

I just got rid of my light which has been on for almost a year for P0443 and after getting a bunch of used EVAP Purge Valves, I just ponied up and got the redesigned OEM one and light is off now.
