Stolen Max!! (papasmurf)

Last night 1/21/02, Bruce, a.k.a. Papasmurf's Max was stolen. If anyone spots it please let us know as soon as possible by replying to this thread. Its a white 95/96 with a white GT style spoiler on the trunk and chrome 15" or 16" wheels. He was the guy with the A/C compressor and battery taken out of the engine bay at our last DC meet on the water.

I had stock alarm when mine was almost stolen in March. Alarm didn't even go off. It doesn't go off with the window breaking, but only with the door opening. I can't remember ever setting that thing off anyway! My car had multilock that saved it,,,,definitely worth it.

yea bro...factory alarm will not go off if they break ur window...try this...for those that still have a factory alarm...leave ur window down ... set the alarm ...wait 30sec ... then as if they broke the window.... stick ur head into the car ...n start ur car.... poof.... car go bye bye ..!!! .... the cut off switch will not go off unless a door ...trunk or hood is opened ..sucks huh ...
a good alarm with a remote start goes for bout 275 installed ...
multi-lock is the best choice you can go with !!! ...it will stop them ..or it will stall them ...even though there r ways to get around it..which i will not post ...for our own safety !!!

The best alarm is a 12guage pump shotgun. It works for me.

Man...I shopped around for alarms here in Seattle, and the cheapest alarm with remote start was $600 installed!

Where did you get $250 from?!?

The stock alarm has no window/glass breakage sensor. It will not go off if a window is broken. It only goes off when a door, hood, or trunk is opened. The owners manual also says that an unauthorized key into the key cylinder may also set off the alarm.

As for the CLUB, it can be defeated in like 15 seconds by sawing through the steering wheel.

Hey guys everythings ok i guess considering. Yeah i got it back a little messed up but its all in one peice just a little extra info they must not be able to drive cause they hit my front bumper into something its about 1/4inch back and my lp bracket is cracked, and they must have backed into a curb cause now one of my dtm outlets is flat on the bottom side. But other than that its back to norm with the r&d so dont worry guys ill come through on this turbo just give it time.
