02 sensor problems

I had an ecu code of 0413 which is left precat, anyway i put a new ntk sensor in it today..then after driving it for awhile the 0413 came back with a 1001 code ,which possible causes are harness or connectors, (the front heated oxygen sensor circuit is open or shorted, front heated oxygen sensor heater
has anyone had this code and found a remedy? all help appreciated!!
thanks in advance!!!!:confused :

im begining to think the 02 i changed wasnt bad cuz it had only 3000 miles on it...what should i do??????

Did you use an oxy sensor with a connector at the end of the wire (plug and play) or did you need to attach the old connector on to the new sensor?

If you attached your old plug to the new sensor it is possible that you might have a disconnected wire or a short.

i replaced my bank one sensor one p0130 2 times and the code keeps coming back. i think i might have an exhaust leak, if not i'm going to be confused as hell as to what the problem is.

so who can confirm that the NTK's work????

I have heard only original OEM oxygen sensors from the dealer actually work.

Seriously?

NTK's might even be OEM without the Nissan stamp.

Ya come to think of it, exaust leak is probably my problem also...i dont think the exhaust has been touched since new from the back of the cat back..so havin a leak after 16 yrs near the 02 sensor wouldnt be to unlikely

but so far i reset the ecu and no code yet..been about 200 miles...hope its gone for good!

what code are you actually getting; in one post you mention 1001 but in another post you say 0110?? which is it? and are these the p codes or from the ecm flashes?

if you are getting the 1001 (aka p0155) code and have already changed to a ntk o2 sensor, check the harness/connector to the sensor, and then check the component itself if the harness checked out ok). the fsm has the procedure in the EC section.

Sorry, im getting 1001 by the ecu.....ive been lookin at the fsm ...but unfortunately im not familiar with using a multimeter...i guess its time i learn...
...but the funny thing is ,the one i changed had only 4k miles on it (ntk also)and I was only getting the 0413 ecu code..since i changed it im gettin both ecu codes..0413/1001? i reset the ecu 3 times and witin 150 miles they come back,i think the the one i changed is fine ,glad i saved it..as far as using a multimeter goes..im not sure what infinite and all the gobbly goo terms mean..i can test volts and thats about it...i guess im f%$#ed! til i learn how a multimeter is used!
i forgot to mention that i cleaned the maf with the right cleaner..i seen someting in the fsm that says to unplug the maf then clear the codes again??...man what a learning experience!!
Im thinking that maybe the sensor got dropped in transit to my house ...to just have 0413 with the old sensor in, to havin 1001 and 0413 after the new ones in..maybe the sensor is sheeet??
