Using EMB with bolt ons worth it
Hi all out there,
I asked this in the all motor section but didn't get a response, hopefully I can get a comment or two in this one,
Anyway, I got my hands on a E manage blue cheap with both harnesses and the computer data link cable. Right now I have a 97 5spd. with full exhaust - ebay headers and y pipe, high flow cat and decent cat back, CAI and will be swapping in a 00VI within the next week or two. I have the LIM already drilled and tapped ready to go, so I plan on still using it. At the time I got it I didn't have the EMB so using the 4th gen LIM was my only option. Other than that, bone stock.
Question, running what I have is it worth it to install and tune the e-manage? It looks like it can do some cool and fun stuff, but is it anything that I need? Or am I better off selling it and getting something else insted because the stock ECU will work fine with those mods? If there is a gain of HP or MPG I would be willing to install it and see what I can do. I do not have a wideband yet, but I was planning on getting one soon anyway so thats not a concern.
Thanks in advnace
