I have an issue I've never encountered before. My Trans seems like it is stuck in drive... The shifter moves through all gears but behaves odd. When in P, I can feel the pawl engage, but the car tries to lurch forward. Down into R, I cannot go backwards. At first it was acting like I was stalling the Torque Converter but now it just drives forward in R. In N, again it just drives forward. D, 2, and 1 behave normally. Is my Trans cooked? Or is there a simpler thing going on here

 

Sticking solenoid or broken shifter cable would be my guess. Broken shifter able will be easy to diagnose.
