Hi,
I have a 1995 Maxima and when I open the door the dome light wont come on. The lights on the doors will light up but those dont provide enough light. Is there a switch/button I should look for or does this light even come on when doors are opened? Thanks in advance for any help.

 

BCM might be blown, try turning the dome light with the switch to see if it comes on

 

The dome light does work....just wont come on when doors open.

 

The domelight has a 3 positition switch...OFF-DOOR-ON. Leaving it in the DOOR position will light it up only when the doors open.

 

I can't seem to find that switch. The only thing I can find is just a button which turns the light on and off. This button is right next to the controls for the sun roof.

 

Thats the button for the map light (of whatever its called as we don't have maps anymore). It only comes on with the button. Look further back behind the sunroof for the dome light that has the three position switch on it as was listed above.
The door lights coming on indicates that the door switches are working, so its most likely a fuse, switch, or the bulb itself
