I came accross a 97 maxima with 100k miles with 14 engine codes, raning from crank sensor to revolution sensor. Car took 12 cranks to start. After digging around, I came across the ground wires bolted on the chassis (behind the passenger headlight next to the horn). All the grounds (about 8-12 wires) were completly broken due to corrision. Once, I fixed this, all problems were gone with the car. In 1999 they fixed this by coating the ground clamp with adhesive and electrical tape. Just a suggestion for anyone who has an older maxima to check.
