Securing your front lip?

My lip is bolted on big time. You can't really see (Except for on the sides of the 2 wheel wells and 2 little screws by the curve of the bumper), but that bastard has never fallen off. Granted, it looks like has been through hell and back, but that's what makes the front end of the car look so awesome.

Now, I was lookin' up stillens instructions for how to really secure it, since i know my way looked like ****, and honestly... I cannot believe it depends on TAPE.

I know it's a heavy adhesive, but do you guys ever have lips getting ripped off, falling off from water or snow getting under them?

I am thinking of getting a new carbon fiber lip and don't want to drill through it like I did my last one, but I'm afraid tape may not hold it on too well.

3M double sided tape, applied to a properly prepped surface isn't easy to take off. The key to holding the lip securely is the side screws. The tape just holds the bottom of the lip down on the bumper.
